I grew up in Glastonbury, Connecticut (a town right outside of Hartford) with my parents and younger sister Meaghan. As a child, I was very creative and enjoyed writing fictional stories. I wanted to be a teacher since I was very young and used to teach my younger sister everything I was learning in school.
After graduating from Glastonbury High School, I attended Boston College and graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Math. I enjoyed BC so much, I decided to stay for an extra year and in 2008, finished my master's program with a degree in special education. I was fortunate enough to be able to accept a job at Newman and have enjoyed my time teaching second grade here! I look forward to continuing my teaching career at Newman.
Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my family. I have a son named Miles and we love playing outside together and exploring new places. I also enjoy cooking and reading.
