I grew up in Glastonbury, Connecticut (a town right outside of Hartford) with my parents and younger sister Meaghan. As a child, I was very creative and enjoyed writing fictional stories. I wanted to be a teacher since I was very young and used to teach my younger sister everything I was learning in school.
After graduating from Glastonbury High School, I attended Boston College and graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Math. I enjoyed BC so much, I decided to stay for an extra year and in 2008, finished my master's program with a degree in special education. I was fortunate enough to be able to accept a job at Newman and have enjoyed my time teaching second grade here! I look forward to continuing my teaching career at Newman.
Outside of school I enjoy reading and cooking and spending time with friends. I have lived in the Boston area since coming to school here, but still manage to find new places to explore around the city- my favorite area is the North End. I also enjoy traveling whether it is to new areas in New England or on cruises in the Caribbean.
