Writing: This week science writers wrote one final lab report and this time it was independently, without a partner. Second graders then chose between their five lab reports and picked one to publish. Here is a sneak peak of us getting ready for our science fair next Friday, February 5th.
Science: We learned all about the magnetic field around a magnet. The magnetic field starts at the poles of the magnet. We also learned about the law of magnetic attraction which says that same poles repel (north/north and south/south) and opposite poles attract (north/south and south/north). We practiced applying this idea through a fun magnetic car race!
