I have been working on figuring out the best way to utilize volunteers in the classroom this year. I do have a plan in place and will send out a sign up early next week to those who had previously expressed interested in volunteering. In the meantime, I do know I need two or three volunteers next Thursday (10/30) from 12:45-1:30 . We’ll be typing up persuasive paragraphs in the tech center. Please email me if you can help out!
Reading: We continued to work with our reading partners this week to have deeper discussions. Readers worked to prepare to meet with their partner by picking a place in their book to share for a discussion. A favorite part of the week was recommending books to our reading partners and trading books in our book bags.
Science: We finished our tree models this week in science. If you’re child hasn’t done so already, have them take apart the inside of their model and put it back together and explain each part to you!
