Math: We have wrapped up our unit on multiplication and division. We ended with an activity called Array City in which we each made a building that had windows showing a specific array (with its multiplication sentence and repeated addition sentences). We are now beginning to review some skills learned this year, which is why our homework right now is mainly review. We will continue a bit more review next week and then will work on another multiplication and division unit.
Second Step: We read the book Have you Filled a Bucket Today? This book talks about how everyone has an invisible bucket that they carry around with them. Bucket Fillers are people who do kind things for other people. When we fill someone’s bucket, it makes us feel good and it actually helps to fill our own bucket. When someone is a Bucket Dipper they are being unkind to someone such as using mean words, yelling, ignoring, or making mean faces. We are working to all be Bucket Fillers. We are using our end of the day closing circle time to share some examples of ways we have been Bucket Fillers throughout the day.
Here are some pictures of us getting ready to go out for Field Day!
