Math: The first part of our week was spent reviewing place value and getting ready for an assessment. In the later part of the week, we worked on following the problem solving steps: Read, Plan, Solve, Check. We will be using a very specific format for problem solving this year and kids will now have a problem solving page to complete each day in class during math. The main purpose of these steps is to have a very clearly explanation of the problem solving process and helps kids to show their work in multiple ways. We will certainly become expert problem solvers this year!
Fundations: In Fundations we learned about suffixes. So far the suffixes we know are s, es, ed, ing, er, and est.
